TACTICAL INTELLIGENCE INTERNATIONAL, LLC

The following course descriptions are based on standard learning objectives for each category. All courses can be modified and customized to suit the clients' needs. Listed prices are for instruction only and do not include any contractor furnished equipment and expenses such as travel, vehicles, weapons, ammunition, and facility usage.

Personal Security (PSD) Course – Instructors will conduct either a one week (5 days) or two week (10 days) course that will teach students the skills necessary to securely deliver high value personnel and property to their intended destination. Students will be taught Defensive Driving techniques, operating in a diamond formation, duties of each PSD member, small arms training, basic hand-to-hand combat, attacks on principal, pickup and drop-off of principal, communication techniques, and methods of movement. All instructors are prior military from the Special Operations community and will have served at least four years in their respective military branches. Each instructor will be a graduate of either a DoD or DoS PSD school and will have worked in Iraq or Afghanistan within the last year. Each instructor will have passed a peer review and will have demonstrated proficiency as an instructor. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Close Quarters Battle (CQB) or Close Quarters Combat (CQC) Course – Students will learn how to enter a structure and eliminate threats that occupy the structure. The skills taught include the principles of assault, detailed planning and organization of entry team, methods of entry, explosive entry, and method of flow once entry has been achieved. Small arms proficiency is required and range time ensures that proper methods of carry and deployment of weapons is conducted in a safe yet quick and effective manner. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Defensive Driving / Convoy Escort (DD) Course – Students will learn to successfully identify, avoid and counter an attack on a convoy or personal security detail while in a vehicle. Students will spend the majority of their time in vehicles that are subjected to attacks and must demonstrate proficiency with counter attack methods. Some of the techniques utilized in this course include screening, blocking, merges and intersections, intervention maneuvers, ramming, push throughs, reverse outs, Y-turns, down driver and down vehicle scenarios, basic maintenance and repair, and vehicle load out. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Surveillance / Counter-surveillance (SC) Course – Students will be taught how to detect the presence of surveillance and the necessary skills needed to effectively thwart the efforts of those conducting surveillance operations. Skills taught include detection methods, duties of operatives and their stages of surveillance, mobile and static methods of gathering information, planning and preparation of counter surveillance, terrorist surveillance methods, creating surveillance detection routes (SDRs) and basic surveillance equipment usage. Instructors will be DoS and DoD trained in this specific field and will be former members of the U.S. military Special Operations community. The instructor will also be required to have served recently in Iraq or Afghanistan as a private contractor. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Marksmanship / Advanced Marksmanship Course – The basic marksmanship course teaches the fundamentals of shooting rifles and pistols based on a combination of the NRA guidelines and U.S. Military doctrine. Topics taught include types of ammunition, proper weapons handling and presentation, sight picture, sight alignment, trigger pull, engaging multiple target, moving and shooting. Small unit tactics, combat reloads, advanced movements, and distance shooting will also be covered. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Sniper Course – Students need to have advanced shooting courses prior to taking this class. Students will be shown how to properly employ snipers, how to use the weapons, the use of camouflage, and stalking techniques. This course goes beyond the techniques in Advanced Marksmanship and delves deep in the use of certain weapons, camouflage, and reconnaissance techniques. Students learn additional skills such as land navigation and science of ballistics. A qualification course comprised of long distance targets of known and unknown distances tests the students resolve and rate of absorption on a daily basis. Stalking techniques, field skills, and calls for fire rehearsals are also taught, as well as communication methods and surveillance techniques. Instructors are former certified Sniper Instructors in the Special Operations community and are NRA certified as well. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Hand to hand combat (HHC) Course – The Combatives course safely teaches the fundamentals needed to effectively fight without the use of weapons. Students are taught the vital points and vulnerability points on the human body and how to strike these areas, inflicting the desired response whether it be to disable or merely stun the opponent. Correct stances are taught, as well as use of the elbows and knees and their effectiveness. The short punch technique is used throughout the course and is combined with the teaching of strikes and kicks. Variations of these techniques are taught by changing scenarios that may call for a certain responses. Proper fall and recover methods are taught, as well as how to choke, grapple, and use sticks and other useful tools. Defensive methods may also be taught with the use of knives, sticks, and riles in addition to advanced methods, such as sentry takedowns, which are conducted in a safe environment at slow speeds. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Land Warfare (LW) Course – Students are taught the fundamentals of good marksmanship in a combat environment as well as the patrolling techniques of a small group. Such disciplines as stealth and concealment, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, unit movement over varying terrain, land navigation, and GPS training are the cornerstone skills of the unconventional warrior. More difficult lessons such as hasty set up and breakdown of bivouac, hasty ambushes, raids on targets, insertion and extraction to and from hostile areas as well as and immediate action drills are covered extensively. The instructors teaching this course are Special Operations Qualified and former military instructors in this area of expertise. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Combat Medic (CM) Course – Prior to this course, students should have taken basic lifesaving courses. Students learn the most common aspects of acute trauma and the dynamics of wound ballistics and how to treat such on the battlefield with little support. The student should have general knowledge of lifesaving and will be taught the principles of threat assessment and command and control in casualty events. They will leave with the ability to execute casualty evacuations under stress, as well as execute break contact drills and even demonstrate an understanding of accepted acute trauma responses by first responders including rapid assessment of acute trauma victims, airway control, cervical spine stabilization, circulatory dynamics and homeostasis, and first aid response for chest, abdominal, and extremity trauma. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.

Visit, Boarding, Search and Seizure (VBSS) Course – This training is part of the U.S. Military’s anti-terrorism force protection against waterborne contingencies. Students will be guided through the rigorous lessons needed to board and seize a vessel that is compliant or non-compliant with maritime laws. Lessons involving rifle and pistol use in restricted and enclosed areas start the course. Training also includes day and night defensive tactics, mission planning, shipboard team close quarters combat (CQC), insertion and extraction techniques, and methods of detaining suspects. Students will board a vessel both at night and during the day to hone their skills, and advanced insertion and extraction techniques can be taught based on the clients assets such as providing boats and helicopters. A minimum enrollment of 5 students is required.
